This student project was developed within the graduate Communications Design program at Pratt Institute. Our assignment was to choose and rebrand an organization - in most cases, a museum. Being a baseball fan, I selected to rebrand the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum in Cooperstown, NY.

I wanted to preserve the museum's existing tradition and credibility, while creating a more exciting brand experience that could appeal to a broader audience. My goal became to make the members of the Hall of Fame a more visible part of the museum's identity. Deliverables were a new logo, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, membership packets, museum map, tickets, website, and advertising.

The museum's mission statement is, in part, as follows:
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is an independent, non-profit educational institution dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the historical development of baseball and its impact on our culture by collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting its collections for a global audience as well as honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to our national pastime.

The Hall of Fame’s mission is to preserve the sport’s history, honor excellence within the game and make a connection between the generations of people who enjoy baseball. Likewise the institution functions as three entities under one roof with a museum, the actual Hall of Fame and a research library.
